The VTC250 is the tricopter version of the VQ250 nicknamed "The Tank", an indestructible multirotor designed and built to survive nearly anything you can fly it into. General Sherman would be proud to fly one. This is the perfect multirotor for those starting out in FPV and want to just keep flying after a tumble or two.
The current state of the art multirotors must tilt the entire frame in order to achieve forward motion. This has the disadvantage of producing a great amount of drag due to the high frontal cross section exposed to the airflow.
In order to reduce this unwanted drag, the VTC250 tricopter employs an innovative tilting rotor mechanism allowing leveled forward flight. By tilting the rotors forward and maintaining a level frame, the exposed cross section on the VTC250 is reduced and in turn decreases the drag produced during forward flight. A reduction in drag will translate to higher forward velocity for a given propeller thrust when compared to conventional flight which can make all the difference to experienced racers where tenths of a second matter.

Additional benefit of tilting the rotors and maintaining a level frame is the horizon will always be in view. No more looking at the ground when moving forward or looking at the sky when landing, both of which can be disorienting for the novice FPVer. Be prepared for blazing fast speeds.
The VQ250 has been designed and built for survivability with both the novice and experienced FPVer in mind employing:
- 3mm thick carbon fiber frames for both top and bottom plates.
- Nearly indestructible glass fiber reinforced nylon parts.
- Everything is held together using hardened alloy steel screws and threaded brass inserts.
- Motor mounts isolate motors from direct impacts.
- FPV camera has been recessed for added protection.
- Motors are isolated from the main frame using silicon rubber vibration damping inserts allowing for a smooth FPV experience and minimize sensor jitter on the flight controller.
The VTC250 can accommodate up to 6“ props and accepts 1806 & 22xx motors.
